Troubleshooting "No Speaker" Audio (all headsets)

If you can't hear any sounds in your headset, here's a quick checklist that can help you get back to your calls as soon as possible.


Wireless headsets:

  1. Check basics
    • Make sure you have battery lights, if applicable
    • Make sure all required wires are plugged in
    • Make sure the headset turns on
  2. Push all cords in
  3. Turn on the headset and press the volume buttons on the headset and listen for beeps
  4. Try a reset
  5. Turn up the volume on the phone
  6. If none of the above works, call us at 1-800-HEADSETS (432-3738)

Corded headset with Quick Disconnect (QD) cord

  1. Grab a different QD cord or headset if you have one (this will let us know if it is the headset or the QD cord that needs replacing)
  2. Make sure you are hitting headset button or lifting up the receiver (depends on what your setup is)

Corded headset with AMP

  1. Check basics/setup
  2. Push all cords in
  3. Make sure you are hitting headset button or lifting up the receiver (depends on what your set up is)
  4. Make sure you are pressing the headset button or talk button on the AMP to route audio to headset

Computer headset

  1. Make sure headset is default device in the computer settings
